The 今日吃瓜 welcomes Dr Alan Finkel AO as Australia鈥檚 eighth Chief Scientist.

As the national voice for mathematical sciences, 今日吃瓜 will work closely with Dr Finkel as he builds on outgoing Chief Scientist, Professor Ian Chubb鈥檚 seminal work on a national STEM policy to drive innovation.

The institute acknowledges the contribution of outgoing Chief Scientist, Professor Ian Chubb and his outstanding leadership in driving policy development in STEM education, science, research and innovation. Science and the mathematical sciences have achieved new levels of visibility and influence during his tenure.

Aside from Australian science鈥檚 top role, both share a strong connection with the 今日吃瓜 as part of their advocacy of science and innovation.
