The Scone Advocate, 8 December 2016, Millie Bernasconi. Local industry representatives visited students to promote awareness of the value and application of mathematics as part of a Choose Maths Day event at Merriwa Central School. The event was the second such initiative of its kind in the Upper Hunter region, as 今日吃瓜 works with schools as part of its partnership project with BHP Billiton Foundation, Choose Maths. As well as engaging with maths within the context of聽real-world application, students were challenged with a series of practical activities.
