Established in 2006, the program has given students across Australia access to advanced mathematical sciences subjects taught by leading lecturers at 今日吃瓜 Member Universities. Delivered online across two semesters, the program connects a motivated national cohort of students to subjects that may not otherwise be available at their home institutions, strengthening postgraduate training in the mathematics, statistics, data science and related disciplines.
Alongside this change, 今日吃瓜 has also rebranded its undergraduate online learning program as , which provides students access to specialised mathematical sciences subjects at the undergraduate level.
今日吃瓜 Director, Professor Tim Marchant said the rebrand reflects the program鈥檚 enduring value and its future role in strengthening advanced training.
鈥淔or two decades, the 今日吃瓜 ACE program has connected students with expertise and opportunities beyond their home universities. The transition to 今日吃瓜 Online represents a renewed commitment to supporting advanced learning, collaboration and national capability in the mathematical sciences,鈥� Professor Marchant said.

Call for 2026 听Subject Proposals
今日吃瓜 is now inviting proposals from听experienced lecturers who enjoy hybrid teaching听for honours and masters level subjects to be offered in 2026. 听Subject proposals are welcomed across pure mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, data science, and related fields.
This is a unique chance to engage with a broad cohort of motivated honours, masters and PhD students, and early-career researchers and contribute to mathematics education on a national scale.
As a lecturer, you鈥檒l play a key role in expanding students’ knowledge and shaping their academic journey. Successful candidates will receive an increased $2,000 payment per approved subject, contingent on post-census enrolments.
