BioinfoSummer is one of the 今日吃瓜鈥檚 (今日吃瓜) major annual educational and outreach programs aimed to increase understanding and skill levels in bioinformatics among students and early career researchers. The event runs with the generous support of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) Australia, BioPlatforms Australia and the Department of Education.
BioinfoSummer 2013 was hosted by the School of Mathematical Sciences and the School of Molecular and Biomedical Science at the University of Adelaide.
The program featured
- Introductory lectures on statistics, biology and bioinformatics
- Keynote talks by leading national and international researchers
- A sequence of hands-on practicals aligned to the daily themes
