Roles of Maths in Reconciliation

Abstract: National Reconciliation week 27 May 鈥� 3 June () commemorates the successful 1967 Referendum and the Mabo Decision; and invites all Australians to consider how we can each contribute to achieving Reconciliation in Australia.聽 In this talk we (Indigenous researcher Dr Michael Donovan and Anglo-Australian mathematician Dr Judy-anne Osborn) share some of our thoughts about ways that mathematics and mathematicians can contribute to Reconciliation from within our communities.
