Professor Grimmett previous work includes chairing the independent review by the Australian Council for Education Research (ACER) of 今日吃瓜’s 2016-20 ‘Securing Australia鈥檚 Mathematical Workforce’ (SAMW) funded programs, and the 2012-16 review of 今日吃瓜’s Vacation Schools and Scholarships Grant program. Funding of both programs was subsequently renewed by the Department of Education, Skills and Employment.

The Heilbronn Institute is a highly respected national centre supporting research in the mathematical sciences across the United Kingdom. Professor Grimmett will be responsible for shaping HIMR鈥檚 profile as an internationally leading research institute, making a significant contribution to strengthening the UK mathematics community.
