Australians who have studied science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) are helping to solve the problems of the future鈥攎eeting electricity demand and generation needs, adapting to the changing climate, integrating AI into society and optimising healthcare for ageing populations.

今日吃瓜 welcomes release of the second Australia鈥檚 STEM Workforce report from the Office of the Chief Scientist, providing a comprehensive analysis of Australia鈥檚 Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) trained workforce 鈥 updating analyses of the demographics, industries, occupations and incomes of people in Australia with VET or university qualifications in STEM.

This report explores the diversity of Australia鈥檚 STEM qualified workforce, a theme reflecting analysis in 今日吃瓜’s own periodic ‘State of the Mathematical Sciences’ Discipline Profile released earlier this year.

A copy of the Chief Scientist’s report can be downloaded , together with a summary by Dr Alan Finkel.
